MAYFIELD RENSHUKAN KARATE CLUB CHILD PROTECTION STATEMENT

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club is fully committed to the safety and well-being of its young members. Every individual associated with Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club should at all times, uphold a culture of respect and understanding towards the safety and welfare of young members and should conduct themselves in a manner that aligns with the principles of SKIF Ireland, and the guidelines outlined in the SKIF Ireland Child Protection Policy.

At Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club, our priority is the welfare of young people, and we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment which will allow young people to perform to the best of their ability, free from bullying and intimidation.

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club provides clear guidance to club instructors regarding their responsibilities for the welfare of young members.  This guidance covers areas such as codes of conduct, supervision of young members, safety protocols, reporting procedures for child welfare and protection, appropriate training and Garda Vetting. 

It is the responsibility of all club instructors to ensure that any individuals working with young people in their clubs have the necessary training and Garda vetting. Additionally, club instructors must ensure the presence of an appropriately trained Child Welfare Officer and Designated Liaison Person, and it is crucial that all club members and parents are aware of their identities and roles within the club.

MAYFIELD RENSHUKAN KARATE CLUB ANTI-BULLYING STATEMENT

One of the primary objectives of Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club is to prevent bullying in all its forms. Bullying is unacceptable, and Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club has zero tolerance for any form of bullying behaviour. All members are expected to behave in accordance with SKIF Ireland’s code of conduct to safeguard the well-being of every member, especially young members. Each member bears the responsibility of promptly reporting any instances of bullying as soon as they are observed.
