Mayfield Renshukan Shine at the 16th SKIEF European Championships!

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club would like to congratulate Martin O’Keeffe Sensei, Clodagh O’Mahony, Anna Melnic, Khines O’Brien and Warren Lahive who all recently represented Ireland at the 16th SKIEF European Championships in Crete, Greece.

This was a huge milestone for Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club, with many of the team competing internationally for the very first time. Their performances reflected months of tough training and commitment, the standards and values that we hold dear at Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club.  Their performances were a true credit to our club.

We’re especially proud to celebrate two silver medal wins:

  • Martin Sensei in the Masters Team Kata
  • Warren in the Boys Team Kata

Congratulations. These well-earned medals are a testament to their dedication and countless hours of hard work both in and out of the dojo.

Also, Martin Sensei and Neil Sensei took on roles as official referees and judges, contributing their knowledge and experience and helping to ensure the event was run to the highest standards.

But beyond the medals, we are so proud of Martin Sensei, Clodagh, Anna, Khines and Warren. Taking part in a major European championship is a fantastic achievement and each of them represented the club and Ireland with dignity and they all showed amazing spirit, dedication and skill on the international stage.

We look forward to the next chapter, and we know that this is just the beginning for them.

Well done to all.

Oss!
