Celebrating the Success of Martin O’Keeffe Sensei and Anna Melnic at the 14th SKIF World Karate Championships

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club would like to congratulate both Martin O’Keeffe Sensei and Anna Melnic, both of whom represented Ireland at the recent 14th SKIF World Karate Championships in Győr, Hungary. 

Martin Sensei went on to win gold in the Mixed Masters Team Kata event.  This was Anna’s debut competing internationally, her journey is a great example of what can be accomplished with determination, hard work and dedication.  Her success is not only a personal triumph but an inspiration to everyone in the club.  It was an incredible experience for both of them and a testament to their hard work, dedication and skill.

Additionally, club instructors Martin Sensei and Neil Sensei also took part in refereeing and judging at the World Championships, showcasing and demonstrating their knowledge and commitment to Karate-do and its principles.

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club are so proud to have such talented individuals representing them on the international stage.  Martin Sensei and Anna’s achievements are indeed a fantastic accomplishment, and their dedication and passion for karate is truly commendable and infectious.  Here’s to their continued success on the world stage and the inspiration they bring to Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club!

Mayfield Renshukan, established in 1971, is a traditional Shotokan karate club. We are a registered SKIF-Ireland Dojo and have been affiliated with Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation since 1978. All black belts at the club are officially registered at the Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation HQ in Tokyo, Japan.
