A huge congratulations to Martin O’Keeffe Sensei, Clodagh O’Mahony, Anna Melnic, Warren Lahive and Khines O’Brien on their outstanding performances at the recent SKI Italy – International Grosselle Cup. It was inspiring to see such impressive performances on the day.
Warren Lahive and Anna Melnic won gold in the Yakusoku Kumite, Warren Lahive won gold in kata, Khines O’Brien won bronze in kata and Martin O’Keeffe Sensei won bronze in the Men’s Senior Team Kata. Anna Melnic won a few rounds in both individual kata and kumite. Clodagh O’Mahony won a few rounds in kata and was finally beaten by the silver medallist. Notably, this competition marked the international debut for Clodagh, Warren, and Khines. It was an incredible and memorable experience for everyone and a testament to their hard work, dedication and skill.
Additionally, club instructors Martin Sensei and Neil Sensei also took part in refereeing and judging at this prestigious event, showcasing and demonstrating their knowledge and commitment to Karate-do and its principles.
Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club is incredibly proud to have such talented individuals representing them on the international stage. Martin Sensei, Clodagh, Anna, Warren, and Khines have achieved remarkable success, and their passion for karate is truly infectious. Here’s to their continued accomplishments and the inspiration they bring to the club!
